Description
Hammerhead USA Red Latex Speargun rubber is made from the purest latex rubber available in the world. Red USA Latex is made and imported from the USA and undergoes strict quality controls and inspections to guaranty consistent performance in every batch. This provides a greater stretch and less degradation over time adding to a longer lifespan of the rubbers.
The extreme elasticity of the rubber allows the rubbers to be tied shorter, increasing the length of acceleration of the shaft and in return giving you more power. The Hammerhead USA Red Latex speargun rubber is extremely powerful with a 400% stretch. It’s not overly hard to load it but it has a very high elasticity ratio which in turn propels your spear at a highly accelerated rate of speed. A majority of branded rubbers sold on the market have an average of 350% stretch compared to USA Red Latex with its 400% stretch.
If you were to make your own speargun rubbers from Red USA Latex the first thing you will notice is, with the rubbers increased elasticity the length of rubber needed for a speargun band will be different to other brands of rubber. So as the rubber has a greater elasticity and stretchability you will not need as much rubber when making your speargun bands. Furthermore using less rubber also saves you dollars in your pocket, while the rubber also is smoother to load and has a higher power and stretch than other rubbers so it’s a Win-Win.
Tip for Rubber Storage:
There are a few tips that you can do to prolong the life of your bulk rubber & speargun rubbers. This is more so if you will not be using the rubbers over an extended time and planning on storing them. When storing the rubbers whether it is bulk rubber or speargun pre-made rubbers, it is important to avoid extended exposure to UV light. To further extend the life it is best to seal your rubbers in a zip-lock bag/snap seal bag or airtight container and store it in the fridge or the freezer until it’s is ready to be used again. Doing this will help prevent your rubber deteriorating while in storage and more so if you live in a humid tropical climate such as North Queensland.
